All the Valentine Hearts, Just for You!

I’ve been so touched by the wonderful support that’s come my way over the past six weeks or so since I started blogging every day. Thank you! Here’s a chance to win a special Valentine package from me: A copy of my latest novel, The Abandoned Heart, a custom-designed (by me!) mug and Valentine, plus a limited edition tin of Godiva treats.

Comment below with the title of your favorite love song before Sunday, February 12th, at 8 pm, EST. (You must comment here–FB and Twitter comments don’t count.) Then either subscribe to comments on the post (it’s an easy click when you comment), or check back Monday morning to see if you’ve won.*

Just so you know–your screen name will go into an actual hat for the drawing. Bonne chance!  💜

*Winner should contact me by email at laura@laurabenedict.com by Friday, February 17th, or I’ll have to pick an alternate winner. U.S.. and Canada entries only, please.

So in this! I think my favorite long song is “The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michaelson because she really captures the concept of being in it for every moment. It’s sweet and catchy and upbeat and doesn’t paint an unrealistic picture of love. Instead, it celebrates real love! ☺

I Call Your Name by Switch

I’m not sure what I’d consider my favorite overall, but my recent favorite is Lights Down Low by Max, particularly the orchestral version. It’s catchy.

Absolute favorite is Biggest Part of Me by Ambrosia. I love it, and every year I post it on my husband’s fb page for our anniversary. That being said, I really enjoy your blogs 😀. It amazes me how much we have in common, and it makes me appreciate you more for sharing. Thanks for the contest.

So love is a weird topic for me. Thor & I figured out some time ago, with helpful advice from you and my grandmother and other wise women, that sometimes love is choice.Depending on where we are in that choice at the moment depends our what love song I like best. Ozzy’s “Mama I’m Coming Home” is right up there and so is Guns and Roses “November Rain.” Definitely not typical, but they work for us. But the one that is probably the most traditional love song that we hold on to is Cheap Trick’s “The Flame.”

i love that you’re blogging every day. It makes me miss you a smidge less. We’ll start looking at dates to visit soon, but on your way to pick up your Edgar, you should stop by here.

    “Crazy” by Patsy Cline

I remember playing this song when I was first married over fifty years ago (53 years to be exact). I still love ❤️ the song. Patsy Cline was just the best!

I’ll have to pick an entire album: Dino: Italian Love Songs released in 1961. Dean Martin did a superb job.

People respond to your blog because you take the time to respond to them. I know how much work that is and give you great kudos.

I’m still rather grumpy due to being housebound. (From my recent hospital stay). My husband is being such a hero! I really enjoy so much music. Give me some Scottish or Irish music, sung in the native language, and I’m butter. I’ll also take some 80’s music (Ambrosia ).
Shugah, you know I am an ardent fan. Your books make stop and absorb before moving on to the next passage. That’s unusual and probably why I enjoy your writing so much!

Mine would either be Melt With You by Modern English, You’re My Best Friend by Tim McGraw, or just about any song from Air Supply’s Greatest Hits. 😊❤️

I keep coming back to “Air That I Breathe” (The Hollies or Raul Malo) as my longtime favorite. It says it all for me.

I love that, too, as well as” Sometimes in Winter” ( Blood Sweat and Tears)
