Wanting and Hoping

We humans are so adaptable. We’re like machines of want, with very short memories. Just let me publish one story and I’ll be happy; just let me have this car, and I’ll never want another. Endless wants. Endless needs. Sometimes we need to pause and breathe and remember.

The pile of things we feel entitled to.

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. —Epicuris

The quote, so true, and a gentle reminder. I feel so blessed this Christmas!

I hope the season is all that you want it to be, Leta. xx

This is so very true, and I find myself falling into the trap of some old habits; Self-indulgence is never a good thing; however, a treat once in awhile is healthy. Lovely words of wisdom, Laura
