Good advice on where to send financial help for Hurricane Harvey victims

Paris thieves steal valuable wine by breaking in via the Catacombs. Sounds like a movie.

We lost two country music stars this week: Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry, and legend Don Williams. And yesterday was Patsy Cline’s birthday.

A piece about Walter Becker, the less vocal half of Steely Dan. He died this week too. One of my favorites.

Happy music makes us more creative. Love this!

Your Zodiac sign ranked by the likelihood that you could be a murderer. You’re safe with me. I’m a Cancer.

I checked out the Books to Read Based on Your Personality Type. Freakishly accurate.

      Oh, my! That’s cool, Priscilla.

Laura, I have to read more of the links, today, but I wanted to say two things: first, I can’t wait to read JT’s Lie to Me; I just need to wait until B and N has a used copy ( it will be soon). The airport where Troy Gentry crashed is where I live. When I was first married, we live in the country in Medford, and within walking / bike riding distance of the Flying W Ranch. My husband was on a softball team next to the ranch, and Mr. Gentry was pronounced dead in the hospital up the road from me, in Marlton. Sad!

    1. Laura Benedict says:

That is very sad, Skye. It must be strange to know that it was so close. Momentous things happen, just outside our reach, and we rarely know until much later.

I’m excited to hear what you think of LIE TO ME!

Her books have been on my TBR for a very long time; before I knew you were
best friends. I recently won on her books on a blog site; it hasn’t arrived. I love the premise of Lie to me.

I have been donating to the American Red Cross and they are collecting at two stores in my areas as well as during Mass. You are so right, there are many scammers; I also know the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities are reputable. Corpus Christie’s Catholic Charities is asking for financial donations. My state of New Jersey sent first responders ( local EMT’s and Fire fighters to Houston last week, and yesterday, NJ’s Army and Air Force national guard was dispatched to Texas, Florida, and the Pacific NW ( fires).).We remember 9/11 up close and personal as well as Hurricane Sandy

Thank you for this terrific list. That’s what I call helpful. 😊
